cassudy and AidaForm – a symbiotic relationship of two state-of-the-art concepts
How traditional aptitude analysis is implemented "the new way"
Traditional aptitude diagnostics in a business environment use questionnaires to determine levels of soft skills, to identify manifestations of personality traits or to assess general cognitive abilities. Typically, test subjects, in such questionnaires, make self declarative statements, work on sample subject matter tasks or process intelligence test type of tasks. Ideally, there is an automatic evaluation at the end of such testing and feedback is provided to the testee and maybe third parties like recruiter, coaches or people development experts.
These traditional aptitude diagnostic approaches can be technologically supported by so called form builder software. Such software allows to easily setup, design and implement all the necessary questionnaire components (multiple choice fields, scales, slider, text input fields), to elegantly control the workflow within a questionnaire, to evaluate the results real time, to generate an easy to read and meaningful result report and to distribute these documents accordingly. For some concrete examples of questionnaire components please have a look at the appendix of this blog.
In brief – the majority of existing aptitude diagnostics approaches may be implemented using sophisticated and function rich form builder software packages.
How the cassudy aptitude diagnostic is implemented – combining traditional approaches with intelligent tracking of cognitive processes
Unlike traditional questionnaires, the cassudy methodology uses technological components that cannot be implemented with the known traditional questionnaire software. Concretely, cassudy uses specific graphical elements(1) and also requires a more sophisticated way of data capturing during processing a task. At the same time, a full fledged cassudy case study uses also traditional questionnaire components. An elegant and natural approach to implement a cassudy solution is therefore using a traditional form builder software with all the features mentioned above and amend it by the „cassudy-specific forms elements“.
The management of AidaForm, a form builder software with excellent reputation for their user friendliness and broad functionalities, was open for a cooperation with cassudy and the cassudy functionality could be implemented very quickly earlier this year.
Besides a rapid implementation, such cooperation has a lot of benefits for business customers:
1. Customers can use cassudy/AidaForm to elegantly implement traditional aptitude diagnostics on a form builder platform and apply their specific benchmarks and in house statistics.
2. The sophisticated cassudy case study components can be used on the same technological platform. This means customers need to familiarize only with one tool!
3. Aptitude diagnostics can be even better validated using traditional questionnaires in combination with the cassudy way within the same test scenario. Customers may thus use different approaches to analyse similar personality traits and achieve a higher level of confidence as well as a higher validation level.
4. Customization for aptitude diagnostics is much easier choosing a user friendly platform like AidaForm/cassudy, if you want to adjust test layouts and wording to your specific customer situation or going for your „company language“.
To summarize: using an „extended form builder software“, like cassudy does, is a very customer friendly approach supporting the client on his/her journey towards a flexible, tailored test scenario.
Using a proven technological setup, it hides complexity from the user while at the same time offering broad flexibility to adjust existing aptitude diagnostics to specific needs.
